QVSR COVID-19 Information

The QVSR Board would like to reach out to you and hope that this e-mail finds you and your family healthy and safe. Given the current health situation globally, all areas of life have been altered temporarily and as we all get through this we wanted to let you know that the Quail Valley Swim & Racquet Club will be there for you when it has been proven safe to return to our type of activities.

Here is the Executive Summary version answering questions you may be asking:

• Will the pool open and when?   The QVSR pool will open when it is deemed safe with DHEC approval.  Right now, we have it set tentatively for 5/23 (Memorial Day Weekend);
• Will Swim Team compete this year?  The Columbia Swim League (CSL) (meeting scheduled on 4/21) will provide guidance on the status of the scheduled meets and the City League Championship, practices will be based on that determination and pool opening;
• Am I able to play tennis?   The QVSR tennis courts are open for member play with appropriate social distancing being observed per USTA Guidance;
• Will the pool be ready when it opens?   The QVSR pool is clean and will be ready to open when appropriate (see attached photo taken Sunday afternoon 4/5/20), however our typical “cleanup day” list of preparation sprucing up still remains and we have a strategy to take care of that over the next month+ prior to opening – look for a separate e-mail on tackling that;
• Will the club be able to operate this season financially?  The QVSR club has continuing operating expenses but needs your support through membership renewals right now, please renew your membership if you have not done so yet;
  
• The QVSR is and has been an important part of our families and our community for many years . We will get through this with your support and loyalty.
